A man of bad character punishes his own soul.

The Two most dangerous threat to your imaan (faith)

Ka’b ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

“Two wolves roaming freely among a flock sheep are less destructive to them than the passion of a man for wealth and fame is to his religion.”

Covet For Getting A Position

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said;

"You will covet for getting a position of authority, but remember that it will be a cause of humiliation and remorse on the Day of Resurrection." [Al-Bukhari]

Abdur-Rahman bin Samurah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to me;

"Do not ask for position of authority. If you are granted this position without asking for it, you will be helped (by Allah) in discharging its responsibilities; but if you are given it as a result of your request, you will be left alone as its captive. If you take an oath to do something and then find a better alternative, you should adopt the latter and expiate for your oath." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith - 1037 - Narrated AbuHurayrah, Allah's Messenger (pbuh) said;

"He who has been ruler over ten people will be brought shackled on the Day of Resurrection till justice loosens his chains or tyranny brings him to destruction."

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said;

"Surely! Everyone of you is a guardian and is responsible for his charges: The Imam (ruler) of the people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects; a man is the guardian of his family (household) and is responsible for his subjects; a woman is the guardian of her husband's home and of his children and is responsible for them; and the slave of a man is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible for it. Surely, everyone of you is a guardian and responsible for his charges."
