Desires And Lusts

Ka'b bin Iyad (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said,

"Verily, there is a Fitnah (trial) for every nation and the trial for my nation (or Ummah) is wealth.'' [At-Tirmidhi].

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), until ye visit the graves. ( Al Qur'an 102 : 1- 2 )

Prophet Muhammad ‘PBUH’ stated;

"If a man had a valley of gold , he would desire another , for nothing will fill his mouth but the dirt ( of his grave ) . And allah forgives whoever sincerely repents ." ( Sahih al Bukhari , Vol.8, PP.297-8. No.447. )

`Abdullah bin Mas`ud (RA) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

"Do not crave for property lest you should be absorbed in the desire of worldly Life .” ( At Tirmidhi )

The Two most dangerous threat to your imaan (faith)

Ka’b ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

“Two wolves roaming freely among a flock sheep are less destructive to them than the passion of a man for wealth and fame is to his religion.”

(Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2376)

Beautified for men is the love of things they covet; women, children, much of gold and silver (wealth), branded beautiful horses, cattle and well-tilled land. This is the pleasure of the present world's life; but Allâh has the excellent return (Paradise with flowing rivers) with Him. ( Al Qur’an 3 : 14 )

And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), (38) Verily, his abode will be Hell-fire; (39) But as for him who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained himself from impure evil desires, and lusts. (40) Verily, Paradise will be his abode. (41) ( Al Qur’an 79 : 38-41 )

So he went forth before his people in his pomp. Those who were desirous of the life of the world, said: "Ah, would that we had the like of what Qârûn (Korah) has been given! Verily, he is the owner of a great fortune." (79)

But those who had been given (religious) knowledge said: "Woe to you! The Reward of Allâh (in the Hereafter) is better for those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and this none shall attain except those who are As-Sabirun (the patient in following the truth)." (80) ( Al Qur’an 28 : 79 – 80 )

The day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail, (88) except him who brings to allâh a clean heart [clean from shirk (polytheism) and nifâq (hypocrisy)]. (89) and paradise will be brought near to the muttaqûn (pious and righteous persons (Al Quran 26 : 88 - 90 )

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said,

"Son of adam says: `My wealth, my wealth.' Do you own of your wealth other than what you eat and consume, and what you wear and wear out, or what you give in Sadaqah (charity) (to those who deserve it), and that what you will have in stock for yourself." [Muslim].

545. Ibn Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) asked,

"Who of you loves the wealth of his heir more than his own wealth?'' The Companions said: "O Messenger of Allah! There is none of us but loves his own wealth more.'' He (PBUH) said, "His wealth is that which he has sent forward, but that which he retains belongs to his heir.'' [Al-Bukhari].

Anas (radi Allahu anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allah (puh) has said;

“Three follow a dead body: members of his family, his possessions and his deeds. Two of them return and one remains with him. His family and his possessions return; his deeds remain with him.” [Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim]

`Uthman bin `Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said,

"There is no right for the son of adam except in these (four) things: A house to live in, a cloth to cover therewith his private parts, bread and water." [At-Tirmidhi].

Qina’at – Thodi cheez par khush rehna, Jo mil jaye us par Razi rehna.

Hazrat 'Abdullah bin 'Amr RadiyAllahu Anhu se Riwayat hai ke RasoolAllah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne Irshad farmaya:

"Wo Shaks kamyab ho gaya jo Islam laya aur use Baqadre kifayat Rizq diya gaya aur phir diye hue Rizq par Qina’at karne ki Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala ne use Toufeeq di."

[Urdu Ref :: Sahih Muslim :: Vol. 3 :: Hadith 2426]

`Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`as (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:

We were repairing our thatchy hut when Messenger of Allah (PBUH) passed by and asked us, "What are you doing?'' We said, "The thatch had gone weak and we are repairing it." He (PBUH) said, "I see the sure thing (death) approaching sooner than this." [Abu Dawud].

Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge ( the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things ) ( Al Qur’an 102 : 5 )

Real Life is The Life Of Akhirah

Aspire The Supreme Achievement

And to each is a direction that he will take, so you shall race towards good deeds... ( Quran 2 : 148 )

Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord and for a Garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and of the earth, prepared for the righteous,― ( Qur’an 3 : 133 )

And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present ( life of this world ). (Quran 93 : 4)

… There are men who say: "Our Lord! Give us (Thy bounties) in this world!" but they will have no portion in the hereafter. (200) And there are men who say: "Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter and save us from the torment of the fire!" (201) To these will be allotted―what they have earned, and Allah is quick in account. ( Quran 2 : 200-202)

Zaid ibn Thabit reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever makes the world his most important matter, Allah will confound his affairs and make poverty appear before his eyes and he will not get anything from the world except what has been decreed for him. Whoever makes the Hereafter his most important matter, Allah will settle his affairs and make him content in his heart and the world will come to him although he does not want it.” ( Source : Sunan Ibn Mājah 4105 - Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani )

for him who transgressed.And chose the life of the world, Lo! hell will be his home. But as for him who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from lust, Paradise will certainly be ˹their˺ home. [ Quran 79 : 37 – 38 – 39 -40– 41 ]

But ye prefer the life of this world, (16) Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. ( Quran 87 : 16 - 17 )

Every soul has to taste death. It is on the Day of Judgement that you shall be paid your rewards in full. So, whoever has been kept away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has really succeeded.The worldly life is nothing but an illusionary enjoyment. (Quran 3 : 185) is the fire of hell Eager to roast; It calleth him who turned and fled (from truth), And hoarded (wealth) and withheld it. (Quran 70:15-18)
