Calamities Is A Test Of Patience.    Everything happens for a reason, I am A big believer in that.

What is Calmities ?

Are you facing any calamity. First you understand The reason behind your calamity.

There are 2 types of calamities. (1) Given by Allah by decree (2) Punishment.

(1) Calamities are created and given by Allah by decree

Calamities are given by Allah SWT by decree. By these [calamities] will Allah SWT test us. Test to check the quality of the faith and patience in you. if you pass you will win the pleasure of Allah and achieve the highest rank in Jannah. If fail you are the loser….

If Allah loves a people, then he afflicts them with trials. Whoever is patient has the reward of patience, and whoever is impatient has the fault of impatience. (Source: Musnad Aḥmad 23122, Grade: Sahih)

"Those will be rewarded with the highest place [in Paradise] because of their patience.." (Quran-25:75)

What Quran speaks about calamity?

…Allah has already set a destiny for everything. (Quran 65:3)

Verily, We have created all things with Qadar (Divine Preordainments of all things before their creation, as written in the Book of Decrees Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz). (Qur’an 54 : 49)
No calamity befalls on the earth or in yourselves but is inscribed in the Book of Decrees (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz), before We bring it into existence... (Qur'an 57 : 22)

Say, “Nothing will ever befall us except what Allah has destined for us. He is our Protector.” So in Allah let the believers put their trust. (Qur'an 9 : 51)

No calamity befalls ˹anyone˺ except by Allah’s Will. And whoever has faith in Allah, He will ˹rightly˺ guide their hearts ˹through adversity˺. And Allah has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of all things. (Quran 64:11)

...according to God's will, in order to give believers a chance to prove their faith, (Quran 3 : 166)

So be patient with your Lord’s decree, for you are truly under Our ˹watchful˺ Eyes… (Quran 52:48)

Ye Ayats agar samaj mein agayee to sabar karna asaan hojayega.
(2) Punishment :

Whatever misfortune happens to you , is because of the things your hands have wrought , and for many (A sin) he grants forgiveness. (Quran 42 : 30)

How to know whether the Calamity/Trial is a Test or a Punishment?

sab se pehle aap apne amal jayeza len. agar aap ko lagta hai ke aap ne kuch ghalt kiya hai to samaj len ke ye aap ke haat ki kamai hai aur khoob Tauba karen.

Aur agar aap ko ye lagta hai ke aap ne kuch ghalt nahi kiya to samaj len ke shayad ye azmayish hai. is per sabar karen.

agar koi baat samaj mein nahi arahi hai to khoob tauba karen aur sabar bhi karen. agar ye aap ke haat ki kamai hai to shayad aap ko maafi mil jayegi. aur agar ye azmayish hai to aap ke is sabar per aap ko behtareen ajar diya jayega.

Amazing is the Matter of the Believer

Secret of Happiness In Islamic Perspective

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:

27. “Amazing is the matter of the believers, his affair to him is all good, and this is for none except for the believer, if he is touched by something good and then he thanks, then this is good for him.  And if he is touched by a calamity or hardship, then he is patient and this is good for him.”

[Reported by Muslim, hadith no. 2999]

A mature believer knows that when good happens, there is benefit in it. And when bad happens there is also benefit in that. And both are a test from Allah.

Example of A Believer And Impious Wicked Person

Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 70, Number 547: Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said,

"The example of a believer is that of a fresh tender plant; from whatever direction the wind comes, it bends it, but when the wind becomes quiet, it becomes Straight again.  Similarly, a believer is afflicted with calamities (but he remains patient till Allah removes his Difficulties.) And an impious wicked person is like a pine tree which keeps hard and straight till Allah cuts (breaks) it down when He wishes." (Hadith No. 558, Vol. 9)

Guided-Ones

Expressing Allah’s Lordship and submission to His Decree by saying... Inna lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un. "Indeed, we belong to Allah, And indeed to Him we shall return."

who, when afflicted with calamity, say: "We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return." Such are the people on whom there are blessings and Mercy from Allah; and they are the ones that are rightly guided. (Quran 2 : 156 - 157)

Evident Loss

And among mankind is he who worships Allâh as it were, upon the very edge ( i.e. in doubt ); if good befalls him, he is content therewith; but if a trial befalls him, he turns back on his face. He loses both this world and the Hereafter. That is the evident loss. (Qur’an 22 : 11)

Believers Attitude during Calamity

Whenever a calamity befalls me, the following hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH come to mind.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "If Allah wants to do good to somebody, He afflicts him with Trials." (Bukhari Volume 7, Book 70, Number 548)

If Allah loves a people, then he afflicts them with trials. Whoever is patient has the reward of patience, and whoever is impatient has the fault of impatience. (Source: Musnad Aḥmad 23122, Grade: Sahih)

The Prophet Muhammad ( sas ) said: “The greatest reward comes with the greatest Trial . When Allaah loves a People , He Tests them . Whoever accepts that Wins His pleasure , but whoever is discontent with that Earns His wrath .” [Reported by at-Tirmidhi (2396) and ibn Maajah (4031). Shaykh al-Albaani (rahimahullaah) considered it Hasan]

Hadith which can be found in Sahih al-Jami' authentic: The prophet (pbuh) said "The people who were not tested in this dunya will wish their skins were cut up when they see the rewards for those who were tested" Hadith no. 5484

Allahu Akbar that is the reward of TRIALS

When I remember these Hadiths, the Hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH help me relieve stressful feelings and increase my will power that will make me strong. I feel stress-free, I feel happy. I feel like this calamity is not to be taken seriously and feel much more optimistic about it, like I could face anything. I realized that the calamities in our life are not to destroy us, but to bring us closer to Allah. So I face the trial with SMILE, Thank you Allah for the trials that bring me closer to you.

Patience and positive perspective is an important tool to overcoming calamities.

Every calamity is to be overcome by patience and positive perspective.

What are Trials ?            Trials a Oppurtunity            Reward Of Patience - Paradise
