My home is in Heaven. I am just travelling through this world.     Dunya keliye kabhi nahi jiyo.

This World

463. Prophet Muhammad said: {The value of this world compared to that of the Hereafter is like what your finger brings from the sea when you put it in and then take it out.} (Narrated in Saheeh Muslim, #2858, and Mosnad Ahmad, #17560)

477. Sahl bin Sa‘d radhiallaahu`anhu reported: The Messenger of Allaah Sall Allaahu`alayhi wa sallam said, “Were this world worth a wing of mosquito, He would not have given a drink of water to an infidel.” [At-Tirmidhi].

464. Jabeer bin ‘Abdullah radhiallaahu`anhu reported: The Messenger of Allaah Sall Allaahu `alayhi wa sallam was passing through the bazaar with his Companions on his both sides, when he saw a dead skinny lamb. He held its ear and said, “Who of you would like to have it for a dirham”. They replied, “We do not like to get it for nothing, and what shall we do with it?”. Then he Sall Allaahu `alayhi wa sallam asked, “Would you like to have it for nothing?”. They replied, “Had it been alive, it would have been defective because it is skinny; but when dead it is of no use”. The Messenger of Allaah Sall Allaahu `alayhi wa sallam said, “Truly, the world is more contemptible to Allaah than this (the dead lamb) is to you”. [Muslim].

Live in This World Like A Wayfarer

471. `Abdullah bin `Umar (May allah be pleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) took hold of my shoulders and said, "Be in the world like a stranger or a wayfarer".

486. Abdullah b. Masood said: “ The messenger of Allah went to sleep on a mat . He stood up and he had marks on his side due to the mat that he had slept on . we said ‘ O messenger of allah , shall we not make ( a proper) bedding for you ?’ he said : ‘ What do i have to do with this world ? I am only like a wayfarer upon a mount that stopped to take shade and rest under a tree , and then leaves it behind and continues on the journey .” (Tirmidthi # 2377)

Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) used to say: “When you survive till the evening, do not expect to live until the morning; and when you survive until the morning, do not expect to live until the evening; (do good deeds) when you are in good health before you fall sick, and (do good deeds) as long as you are alive before death strikes”. [Al-Bukhari].

Life Of This World

The life of this world is only diversion and amusement, whereas the true life is in the Hereafter. If they only knew. (Qur'an 29 :64)

"O my people! Truly, this life of the world is nothing but a (quick passing) enjoyment, and verily, the Hereafter that is the home that will remain forever." (Qur'an 40 :39)

But ye prefer the life of this world, Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. (Quran 87 : 16 - 17)

O mankind, Allah‘s promise is definitely true, therefore, the worldly life must not deceive you, nor should you be deceived about Allah by the big deceiver (Satan). ( Qur’an 35:5)

460. Anas radhiallaahu`anhu reported: The Prophet Sall Allaahu`alayhi wa sallam said: “O Allaah, there is no true life but the life of the Hereafter”. [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim].

Below are the six stages of life in Islam.

Life is a journey from Allah to Allah.

1) Life in Alam E Arwa

When your Lord brought out from the children of Adam, from their loins, their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves saying, “Am I not your Lord?” They said, “Yes, we do testify.”... (Quran 7:172)      More...

2) Life in the mother’s womb

After the soul is created it is sent down into the mother’s womb. All the food and nutrients the fetus needs is sent through the umbilical cord. The fetus lives 9 months in the mother’s womb and during that stay, it is transformed to a baby.

3) Life in this world

This starts from birth, the moment the baby breaths and cry for the first time. They are taught about Islam and the way of life. They in turn have children and teach them the ways of life.

This stage is used to test human beings. To know how well they can adapt and how religious they are.

4) Life in the Grave    (After Death)

Death occurs when the soul is removed from the body. In Islam, it is believed that the soul is kept in a good place until the Day of Judgment arrives (if the soul is a good soul). If the soul is evil (i.e a sinner or disbeliever), it is kept in torment until the Day of Judgment.

5) Day of judgment/ Resurrection

This is the stage in which all souls will get up from the graves and judged upon.

6) After rulings from the day of judgment

Ones the fifth stage is passed, the good doers will enter paradise and the bad doers will enter hell.

May Allah (SWT) shower upon us His infinite mercy and grant us paradise. Amin
