What is Life ?     Find out your purpose of life, it's NEVER too late

This World is For Afflictions And Trials

Being afflicted by trials and tribulations is part of this worldly life.

indeed We have created man (to live) in hard struggle. (Quran 90:4)

The verse indicates that it is not possible for anyone in this world that he lives in comfort and luxuries at all times. Man is created to struggle hard in this world, not only for his livelihood, but also to gain the comforts of the hereafter. That is why he should face all difficulties with patience. Since the muslims in makkah were suffering severe hardships at the hands of their enemies, this verse reminded them of the true nature of the worldly life, so that they might endure them with patience.

What is Life ?

Life is a big question until you read the Quran. Find out your purpose of life in the light of Qur'an and Hadith.

The Greatest Fool

The greatest fool is he who, in the duration of his whole life couldn’t realize the purpose of his existence in this world.

1) What is Life ?

Islam teaches, the life of this world is nothing but a Test.

A Muslim must realize that all the life and its ups and downs are a test for a Muslim. the goods of it and the bad, all are a test and a Muslim has to try to remain grateful in the former and steadfast in the latter.

Allah SWT says about the life and its purpose in various places in the holy Qur'an, one of those is:

We have created man from a mixed sperm-drop to put him to a test;… (Qur’an 76 : 2)

2) Why Does Allah Test Us ?

Test to check the quality of the faith and patience in you.

It is He who has created death and life to put you to the test and see which of you is most virtuous in your deeds... (Qur’an 67 : 2)

Do men think that they will be left alone on saying "we believe" and that they will not be Tested? we did test those before them, and Allah will certainly know those who are True from those who are False. (Qur'an 29 : 2 - 3)

Do you think that you will enter Paradise before Allâh tests those of you who fought (in His Cause) and (also) tests those who are As-Sâbirun (the patient)? (Qur’an 3 : 142)

Surely, We shall continue to test you, till We know the ones who struggle hard for Allah and remain steadfast; and We will test you in all your affairs! (Quran 47:31)

...according to God's will, in order to give believers a chance to prove their faith, (Quran 3 : 166)

Ye Ayats agar samaj mein agayee to sabar karna asaan hojayega.

Is 24 Hours Of Life A Test?

"YES", 24 hours of daily life is a test. All peoples are tested every day with different kinds of Trials.

…We are always putting people to the test. (Quran 23:30)

3) How Does Allah Test Us ?

Allah SWT may test a slave with : beauty and ugliness, wealth and poverty, high and low status, health and sickness, success and failure, bad and good situations, character, loss, fear, emotional distress, and yet others with prosperity and fame, etc.

Allah SWT tests his slaves with : - beauty and ugliness, wealth and poverty, high and low social status, health and sickness, good and bad conditions, success and failure, emotional distress as fear, loss and fame etc.

...and We will test you in all your affairs! (Quran 47:31)

   i) Tests You through Bad and Good Conditions in Life

...We are putting all of you to a test by passing you through bad and good conditions,... (Qur’an 21 : 35)

We are continuously tested either through blessings, to see how thankful we are or through trials, to see how patient we are.

In a beautiful hadith that suits the best especially these times, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “How wonderful is the affair of the believer, for his affairs are all good, and this applies to no one but the believer. If something good happens to him, he is thankful for it and that is good for him. If something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience and that is good for him.” (Narrated by Muslim, 2999).

A mature believer knows that when good happens, there is benefit in it. And when bad happens there is also benefit in that. And both are a test from Allah.

   ii) Tests You through Wealth,

Your wealth and your children are only a test... (Quran 64 : 15)

Such is man! When his Lord puts him through a Test by granting him honor and a life of ease, he says, "My Lord has honored me!" (Qur'an 89 : 15)

People think that tests only come in the form of hardship, Allah also tests us with ease, its often in the test of ease that we fail most.

   iii) Tests You through Poverty

And when He Tests him by restricting his means of livelihood, he says, "My Lord has disgraced me!" (Qur'an 89 : 16)

Or think you that you will enter paradise without such (Trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments... (Qur’an 2 : 214)

And We will test you with some fear and hunger, and a shortage in money and lives and fruits. And give good news to those who are patient. (Qur'an 2 : 155)

Allâh enlarges the provision for whom He wills of His slaves, and straitens it for whom (He wills)…. (Quran 29 : 62)

Allâh increases the provision for whom He wills, and straitens (it for whom He wills), and they rejoice in the life of the world, whereas the life of this world as compared with the Hereafter is but a brief passing enjoyment (Qur'an 13 : 26)

   iv) Tests You through Ailment

Or think you that you will enter paradise without such (Trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments... (Qur’an 2 : 214)

The Prophet Hazrat Ayub A.S. was blessed with health, wealth, and family. Yet Allah wanted to test his faith and eventually all was taken.

His wealth vanished, he lost his family and he got terribly sick which lasted for 18 long years. He got involved in a disease where all his body got covered with sores. Yet he had such a strong faith in Allah that he did not become hopeless.

   v) Tests You with your Fear

And We will test you with some fear and hunger, and a shortage in money and lives and fruits. And give good news to those who are patient. (Qur'an 2 : 155)

vi) Tests You with your Loss

You (believers) will certainly be tested by the loss of your property and lives... (Qur'an 3 : 186)

   vii) Tests You with Blessing

If hard times touch man, he calls on Us. Then, when We favor him with a Our blessing,

he says, "I have only been given this only because of my knowledge."

In fact, it is only a test, though most of them do not know. (Qur’an 39 : 49 )

   viii) Tests You through Status

… and He raised some of you above others in rank, in order to Test you in accordance with what He has given you. …, (Qur’an 6 : 165)

ix) Tests You with your Possessions and your Children

and know that your worldly possessions and your children are only a test and a temptation... (Qur'an 8 : 28)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said,

"A Muslim, male or female, continues to remain under trial in respect of his life, property and offspring until he faces Allah, the Exalted, with no sin record".    [At-Tirmidhi].

 x)  Everyone is tested according to his level of Iman (faith)

Allah’s Messenger (Pbuh) said, “Those who are most afflicted among the people are the prophets, then the best, then the (next) best. One is afflicted in accordance with (the strength of) his Deen. If his Deen is firm, his affliction is hard, and if his Deen is weak, his affliction is light. Indeed, one would be so much subjected to adversity until he walks among the people without any sin.” [Saheeh al-Jamee (993 )]

Difficulties in our life is a test for how strong is our relationship with ALLAH

The Greatest Reward Comes With The Greatest Trial

The Prophet Muhammad ( sas ) said: “The greatest reward comes with the greatest Trial . When Allaah loves a People , He Tests them . Whoever accepts that Wins His pleasure , but whoever is discontent with that Earns His wrath .” [Reported by at-Tirmidhi (2396) and ibn Maajah (4031). Shaykh al-Albaani (rahimahullaah) considered it Hasan]

4) What To Do When Allah Test Us ?

Be Patient

During times of deep trial, despair, and sadness, Muslims seek comfort and guidance in the words of Allah in the Quran. Allah reminds us that all people will be tried and tested in life, and calls upon Muslims to bear these trials with "patient perseverance and prayer." Indeed, Allah reminds us that many people before us have suffered and had their faith tested; so too will we be tried and tested in this life.

There are dozens upon dozens of verses that remind Muslims to be patient and trust in Allah during these times of trial.

...and endure with patience whatever affliction befalls you... (Qur'an 31 : 17)

...and show patience in hardship and adversity, and in times of distress. Such are the true believers;... (Quran 2:177)

And seek the help (of Allah) in patience and prayer. Truly it is very hard except on the humble minded, (Quran 2:45)

So be patient with your Lord’s decree, for you are truly under Our ˹watchful˺ Eyes… (Quran 52:48)

...God is with those who are patient in adversity. (Quran 2 : 153)

And their recompense shall be Paradise, and silken garments, because they were patient. (Quran 76:12)

"Those will be rewarded with the highest place [in Paradise] because of their patience.." (Quran-25:75)

And when you look there (in Paradise), you will see a delight (that cannot be imagined), and a great dominion. (Quran 76:20)

(And it will be said to them): "Verily, this is a reward for you, and your endeavour has been accepted. (Quran 76:22)

…Only those who are patient shall receive their rewards in full, without reckoning. (Qur’an 39:10)

…surely Allah does not waste the reward of the doers of good; (Quran 9:120)

So, be patient — surely the promise of Allah is true… (40:55)

… surely Allah does not break His promise. (Quran 3:9)

A hardship and suffering is a blessing in disguise. It is a moment of test, a test that once you pass with patience, it will grant you rewards more than you can imagine.

It is difficult to be patient. But to waste the reward for patience is worse.

Remember 9 things at the time of calamities

This short worldly life is a test.

If Allah wants to do good to somebody, He afflicts him with trials.

Allah tests you because Allah want to reward you and raise your ranks in Jannah.

Being patient when afflicted is an opportunity to earn reward.

The Greatest Reward Comes With The Greatest Trial.

Face your trials with patience, for they may have hidden blessings within them that will show later.

Eternal Paradise is the believer’s goal.

Focus on your goals then work for it.

Believe You’re born to achieve great things!
